I am struggling trying to break an image. Attached is the image. I used the bezier tool to create the break line and I am trying to separate the piece pointed to by the arrow. But what do I select after drawing bezier line to break the image. thank you, Darryl
I want to get rid of the triangle and break the line that is showing. In other words I want to separate everything to the right of the line including the triangle from the part of the image to the left of the line. What I want to do is erase this triangle and have a clean erase along the line. So I thought it would be easy to draw the line with the bezier tool and break the underlying image along the line and then erase the separated triangular piece. Is that possible in inkscape? Thanks Darryl

Not so clear to me; do you want to keep the quasi "hole" or just a triangular shape?

Maybe like so?
