Is it possible in Inkscape to make line crossings look like in this example?
There´s a LPE called "Knots" - but it will work best with 90° crossings.
Another method would be Stroke to Path with added white stroke on the upper lines.
Duplicate the upper lines. Increase the stroke width and change the stroke colour to white. Change the z-order (stacking order).
