Beginners' Questions Bogus nodes when opening SVG in CorelDraw

    Hello everyone,

I'm trying to trace a bitmap to a vector in inkscape, which has all gone very well. The company doing the laser work has opened the SVG file in coreldraw and seen a bunch of bogus nodes that are making the drawing useless for lasering. I have isolated one part of the bitmap/vector and shown how it is displaying in inkscape vs coreldraw. Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?

It appears when viewing in corel draw there are a bunch of nodes way out to the side of the image that are not there in inkscape. After deleting those nodes I've still got curves from nodes that are hanging way out in that direction, causing a series of long elipses from the fills in the vector. I am new to vectors so hopefully my terminology is understandable.

    Thanks in advance of course!

    👍

I ended up exporting as optimized SVG and unchecked option 'embed rastered bitmaps' i think was the option. Don't know why as I shouldn't have had any pixels in the screen but this fixed it. Thanks
