I am a new Inkscape user. I'm running version 1.2 on Windows 10. I am running a native *.SVG file. I installed Inkscape about 3 days ago. My PC is a pretty standard Windows 10 setup.
My Bezier tool was working just fine for a day or two, but now is acting strangely. I can't figure out what I've done.
In the attached drawing, I was trying to close a simple triangle and expected it to result in a filled in triangle with some sort of stroke. Instead, I'm getting this strange fern looking thing.
Greetings,

Any ideas?
Thanks very much,

Check if you have any "shapes" enabled in the tool's settings.
Holy smokes, @Polygon, you hit the nail on the head. "Ellipse" was selected as "Shape." I put it back to "None" and it works fine.
Not sure how Ellipse got chosen, but I'll take the solution.
Thanks so much,
