    Before I download the latest version just want to know if my documents will still run the same.  I remember years ago a previous version shrunk everything to 75%

    Documents from .91 and earlier will be 90dpi. The SVG standard changed to 96pdi after that.

    Inkscape has a tool to scale the early version files.

    I'd try menu: Extensions>Document>DPI 90 to 96.
