So I've recently wanted to convert some text I made into a vector image for heat press printing (Blue text with a white stroke border) but when I trace bitmap it either gets rid of the white border or adds in a white background.
Actually this can be made quite easily with 2 editable stacked text-objects: top one with broad white stroke width, Round Join/Cap and "Stroke/Fill/Markers"-order - bottom text-object same but black fill+stroke + broader stroke width:
Hi guys,
So I've recently wanted to convert some text I made into a vector image for heat press printing (Blue text with a white stroke border) but when I trace bitmap it either gets rid of the white border or adds in a white background.
Is there any way around this?
Thanks in advance.

I'd just recreate it with Arial MT, 950px. Duplicate, convert to unioned path, outset for the white outline. Much better results than trace.

^^ works perfectly.
Awesome, thanks for your help guys, I'll give them a crack!
