Having trouble ungrouping text. Im trying to export this one word as an svg file and insert it into fusion 360 to cut it using cnc plasma cutter. Ive created the text and tried to do a 'save as' and then insert into 360 but the text doesnt view with the font I used.
I found a tutorial on doing exactly this and they explained to ungroup the text so there is a box around each letter. The tutorial showed it being done but I could not get this to work.. instead at the bottom of the screen it kept saying "no groups to ungroup in this selection".

I guess you need paths instead of text objects; select the text object and go Path->Union - this will make a compound path of the text.
