hi , i installed the new inkscape and it seems to be a great upgrade to an already great program, but i seem to have a problem with k40 whisperer when i open whisperer and load a svg from inkscape you can see the preview it shows that it is importing and it says that it is converting text to path it acts as if it has opened the svg but no svg is visible and if you tell it to engrave whisperer says that there is no data to engrave.

i have tried installing all versions of whisperer and 32bit and 64bit inkscape v1 seperately. is this a bug or am i doing something wrong. please help, thank you.

ps. when i go back to previous version of inkscape all is ok.

Hey Eeze! I just updated to the new Inkscape 1 as well and am having the same issue with K40 Whisperer. I've gone in the setting and select the Inkscape executeable and everything else, but not luck so far. Were you every able to figure this problem out? Thanks in advance!

The interface for Inkscape changed in 1.0, the K40 people will need to update their software to work with it.

hi. i had installed and uninstalled several versions of whisperer even the latest version and it still did not work ,but after a couple of days with the latest version of whisperer installed not run from executable file everything works fine, perhaps it is a windows problem, i am using win7 ultimate, hope this helps.

From what I learned from emailing back and forth with K40 Whisper is that if the Workspace dimensions sent over by Inkscape exceed the K40 workspace dimensions, both the K40 and Whisperer will get most upset, hang, blue screen and more.  Make sure that the dimensions are as small as possible, ideally "resize to content"  and go from there.  Once I did that, even my complex drawings loaded and printed (engraved) fine.
