I have been using Macromedia Freehand for drafting diagrams for just over 20 years and regularly need to update previous work. Is it possible to import these diagrams into inkscape to update? I do not want to redraw as there are hundreds of diagrams.
I have tried exporting the files as illustrator files and then importing that file without success.
I really find inscape easy to use and would like to continue using it but it will depend of the ability to import these diagrams.

Could be the Ai file needs to be exported as a later version, with PDF compatibility, or converted to an SVG with a third program.
Feel free to share an example Fh file and Ai exported file. I can test in Affinity Designer, Corel and Ai.
I would try exporting other vector formats and see if Inkscape can open them.
