Using Inkscape with Other Programs Importing CDR Files and Losing all Power Clipped Objects

    I have to convert Corel Draw 17 files into AI to use with a laser cutter. The AI program on the cutter can only import CDR to version 5.0. My CorelDraw 17 no longer boots up on my MacBook Pro (Can't find out why) and I bought Corel 2021 Essentials only to find that it can't export any vector files at all. That led me to Inkscape. 

    But Inkscape (and all other CDR conversion programs I've tried), while importing the object's outlines okay completely misses all the power clipped information inside. The project is a building for my model railroad and the missing detailed is all the engraving lines for the couplex brickwork. I'm out of ideas and need help.

    There are some online converters that might work.

    Plus, I may have an older version of Corel, I can see if it will save a complete SVG when I get to the office later today or tomorrow.
