Using Inkscape with Other Programs Feature Request: Fontbase and other font managers

Hi there, Thanks for a great open source product! I use FontBase to make sure that my fonts system doesn't slow down from the installation of thousands of fonts. Most windows program immediately recognize fonts activated by Fontbase, but Inkscape does not. It would be great if we could use the fonts there instead of only having them be active after installing directly into Windows\Fonts. Any plan to make this work?

    Thanks again!

Someone once made an extension for this, I don't think it'll still work out of the box, but it might be a good starting point:

    Sorry, wrong topic...

    Welcome to the forum!

I think there may already be feature requests for Inkscape to support font managers for Windows systems.  I'm not positive though.

    Yes, here's one:.  https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1416674

It will need to be migrated to the new bug tracker, if it is to survive.  If you're interested enough to get involved, you could migrate it yourself.  The contest which this page mentions is over, but it still gives instructions how to migrate a bug.  https://alpha.inkscape.org/bug-migration/

If you're not interested enough to "officially" migrate it, you could still make a new feature request, and reference that report.  This message tells how to make a new feature request:  https://inkscape.org/forums/beyond/how-to-report-bugs-or-request-new-features/
