How Do You Use Inkscape? Alternate sewing patterns

I use a projector to cut out PDF sewing patterns. I use Inkscape to adjust the patterns. Still a novice though because I don't know Inkscape that well yet. But I'm getting there. Only issue is that not many people do it yet and getting support is difficult

What kind of support do you need?

Yvon, I too plan to use Inkscape for editing/adjusting patterns, so am delighted to see someone else already doing this.  I am a complete newbie at Inkscape, but I am experienced at the types of changes that need to be made to the pattern pieces that comprise the pdf - but at the moment I am doing it on paper.. FYI Polygon - for support needs, most adjustments to pdf patterns involve changing the areas that fit over curves - either enlarging or reducing, then truing up the curved/straight lines to match the new dimensions.  After editing, the projector can now show the adjusted pattern cutting lines on the fabric.  Without the ability to change the image, we would have to project the image onto paper, make the adjustment, then use the new paper piece to cut the fabric .That's not efficient even for ONE garment, even less so if this is more than a hobby for YvonDeRidder.

Hi I have been using Inkscape for my pattern making since the start of Pandamic.  However, today I just posted a new message about using avator as a tool in pattern making.  I am hoping that there may be a way of adding this option to Inkscape as it now seems to be a great option for designers to see how their patterns look before printing out several times and making a muslin to get the exact fit.
