1. If your machine is capable to recognize and execute trim commands, you can add them to the individual letters Select the last element of each letter and run Extensions > Ink/Stitch > Commands > Object Commands. In the dialog select "Trim thread after sewing this object" and click on apply.
2. If your machine is not capable to recognize trim commands you can still remove jump stitches with the color change trick. Which means, that you digitize the letters in various colors. After each letter the machine will cut the thread - ... and stops (waiting for a thread change) and you will have to manually push a button on the machine to move on.
3. Cut the jump stitches later by hand (sometimes the much faster method) or
4. have a look into your machines menu if it is capable to cut jump stitches by itself.
You also may want to checkout Extensions > Ink/Stitch > Lettering to use a nice set of fonts prepared to be used with Ink/Stitch (https://inkstitch.org/fonts/font-library/).
Hello,
I was trying to create a design. But I am trying to avoid these jump stitches from the design. How can I do that?
Thank you
There are different ways to remove jump stitches.
1. If your machine is capable to recognize and execute trim commands, you can add them to the individual letters Select the last element of each letter and run Extensions > Ink/Stitch > Commands > Object Commands. In the dialog select "Trim thread after sewing this object" and click on apply.
