Using Inkscape with Cutters/Plotters Converting a stroke to a path creates a fill, which also creates 2 cut lines in Cricut design space

I'm a newbie to Inkscape so I'm hoping there's an easy workaround for this.  I've tried for several days to find the answer but am now totally frustrated.

I created a flower in Inkscape using the bezier tool, then I selected 'Stroke to Path' then 'Union' which also creates a fill.

When I upload this to Cricut Design Space, there are 2 cut lines for the same stroke.

Is there a workaround so it creates only one cut line?

Lines in SVG have no thickness as such, but they have a 'stroke' with thickness ( width ) which follows the svg line.

When you use stroke to path, it looks at the stroke thickness and makes a path to reproduce that. That is why you have the double lines.

The original bezier tool image you have drawn should be okay. Instead of 'stroke to path', can you try Path>Combine on the image and then upload instead ?

OMG, thank you! Told you I was a newbie. Totally worked. Thanks so much.
