Hello everyone,
When using path union to prepare a file for cutting i notice an unexpected behavior.
Part of the drawing:
Detail of a corner:
Corner after executing "path union":
As you can see several new path segments get inserted. This seems to be a consistent behavior, i was trying various different approaches.
If needed i can provide the file immediately before joining.
Did anyone else have this problem before? Please point me to the right forum-thread, i could not find any.
Thanks a lot! Tobias
Yes, please share an example.
Hi Tyler,
please find attached the file.
Let me also try to explain how i got there. The intention is to create a "Mandala generator" for laser-cutters.
Let me know if you can replicate my results,
Thanks :-)
I would simply union the first quadrant's paths, without the combine operation. Then dup, flip, union; repeat..
Ungroup - Break Apart - Union - done
Thank you very much PixelPest, the last ungroup did the trick!
My apologies, i knew that grouping and path-operations don't work well together, but i was not making the link, thought i had all groups removed :-(
"Groupies" are the new hype in v1.0 and they suck: Convert text=Group, Object->Clip->Set=Group. 🙄
