hello I am an old chap that cant get my head around this technology but I want to design a ‘house’ just for fun. Not to build not for plans just for fun.
I have tried to make this software work but given up – but I thought there might be a a hobbyist out there with not much to do during lockdown who could knock something up for me for a reasonable sum (or lots of beer). I live in England

Well I am not one hundred pc sure because I am not an architect and i cant make the software work for me (I used to be in the military - we are all a bit thick!)
So; I see people rendering amazing dream houses on these CAD websites and I am very impressed and I think what would my dream house look like in side? I had a lot of ideas for the house in my life but still do not have the big house to fit the rooms in! But maybe one day. I would like to scope out a traditional english country house ( - with rough sizes and then 'decorate' inside. Maybe 'walk' inside? This is not for a build or planning - just a dream to play with ... I hope you can help. regards - Mark. Is this a post or a message? I can send you my email - which i prefer to use if its not public. Sorry to be dim....not a techy...

I appreciate your suggestions however I would rather find someone who can help me as a hobby ( and I can pay something for their trouble) I rather had the idea that there might be passionate hobbyists out there who can knock a fantasy house up in a day who might like to get some beer for their trouble. I live in Birmingham England BTW. Also I am totally beyond hopeless at computers - mainly cos I hate them with a passion.
And 3d walk thru would be the aim - I have seen some pretty cool gallery work out there by people who sound like they are hobbyists..
I have posted on three boards ( I think) and will wait a few days to see the responses. If you have any ideas as to either WHERE i should post or what the KEY WORD of the post should be - I would be soooooo grateful!

What do you have in mind when you say design a house, creating floor layout and technical plans etc. or an artist impression?

Inkscape would be okay for making 2D floor plans. Something like Blender would be needed to make a 3D model you could 'walk' thru.

Also I do not mind which software. (will check out blender - Thx)
