I'm having some troubles with tapered strokes made with the live path effect. I have an SVG document in which some strokes are tapered, and the path effect needs to be live so it can be scaled equally with the rest of the strokes, because the SVG is meant to be used as a reusable asset. The problem is, when this SVG is imported or copied into another document and then ungrouped, the width of the tapered strokes inexplicably become thinner, while having the same width value in the path effect dialog. I'm not sure how well I've worded this, the attached image explains it much better.

I'd like to know how to prevent this behavior. I need the stroes to remain the width I set them to.

If the image isn't getting more editing, but just getting scaled in other places, I'd try converting those strokes to filled paths. 

I need it to have the path effect so it will scale properly, otherwise if shrunken down the tapered strokes will look smaller than the normal ones.
