I'm using Adobe Illustrator to create the artwork - saved as SVG. Tried to import the SVG directly to K40 Whisperer but the vector cut (set to 255,0,0 in AI) would come in grayscale. So I utilized Inkscape 1.1 to check and the AI red comes in as 237. Change it to 255 and re-saved as SVG. Open in Inkscape again and the vector cut (red) comes in as a different scale. Tried multiple times, tried separating them into different layers/files, same result. The AI red can't be recognized by KW and Inkscape somehow changes the scale even though it appears correct in the program.
I checked, the AI file was in fact in CMYK, but I changed it to RGB and resaved to SVG and opened directly in KW. This time the vector did came in red but the scale is still off. Opened through Inkscape and saved as SVG that way, and same results. Somehow the red outline cut vector is stored in the data as a different size than shown on the screen in those programs. There's another issue with opening in KW and the SVG import scale being off (with the pop up message allowing me to pick what resolution), but that's manageable as far as telling it what the overall size of the file is, but the issue remains somehow the red vector is on a different scale than the rest of the image. Here's the AI file....
Yea but the most important app, KW, that I need to cut the file somehow is seeing the vector cut layer in a different scale. Any suggestions for workaround?
@inklinea yes, that came in all in one size, though looks smaller than the indicated 4.0"x2.0", I'll run a test cut and see what the actual size it'll come out as and scale up accordingly. thanks. what did you do mind if i ask?
ps. @Polygon i ungrouped everything and expanded all the compound paths in AI and resaved everything and still the same results.
Looks like version 0.59 of K40 Whisperer did have a problem when loading an SVG file with 'Reduced Memory Use' enabled. The problem only occurred if the user was prompted for additional scaling information.
Some suggestions.
Open .ai (.pdf) in Inkscape with the Poppler/Cairo import option (it's using pt instead of px).
In Inkscape document properties make sure the page unit is not set to px (happens with default PDF import settings).
Use version 0.60 of K40 Whisperer instead of 0.59.

I'd check in AI that the document is set for RGB and output is set for RGB.
It would be helpful to see the Ai file and Inkscape file to compare the xml.

Opens correct in Inkscape and 2 other SVG apps I tried here:
I´d ungroup everything though.

Can you see if this is different ?
Might not fix it.

Can you try this file please?
@Polygon yes, it came in perfect. what did you do to my original file? for future reference so I don't repeat the same mistake(s). Thanks.

I used and extension called "Apply Transformations" I was hoping to work out - and it does.
@Aero thanks for the suggestions, will try them.
@Polygon thanks for your help, much appreciated.
