I imported a raster drawing from a CAD program that has jagged straight lines and convertted it to vestor with trace bitmap but the lines are too thick and I cant find a way to make them thinner. Any suggestions?
There is Path > Inset to reduce the thickness, and Path > Dynamic Offset that displays a handle you can then move to grow or thin your outline. You may need to convert your object to a path first to be able to use any of these tools, also via the Path menu.

hope this helps.
If it was traced using autotrace (centerline trace), the stroke of the paths can be changed with the Fill/Stroke dialog and other means.
