    Hi everybody :

After setting the path for the text, then typing in the text.

After that.....I go to TEXT>PUT ON PATH.  Now.....how do I remove the "path" that still shows ?

You 'd like to remove it but you can't.

To visually hide this path, you can  :

    • hide it using object/layer panel (Ctrl + Shift + L or Ctrl + Shift + O, depending on versions).
    • set its stroke width to zero
    • set its opacity to zero
    • place it on an hidden layer...

I'd rename it (object / layer panel) first, : with something like "path_for_text_on_path : it will be easier to find, and lock it to avoid issues.

PS : I'd choose more precise topic title to ease further searches, as "how to remove the path used for "Text > Put on path ?"

    What David248 says.

If you really need the path to be gone (for example if you're laser cutting and the line really needs to be gone), you could convert your text to paths (it's no longer text at this point) and then remove the line.
