Hi everyone, I am trying to put text inside of numbers, I deleted the fill and clicked object to path and then highlighted the number held shift and highlighted the text then clicked flow into frame but nothing happens. I watched a tutorial and did what I thought was exactly the same. I have attached a screenshot please help.
Depending on the age of the tutorial, there's a good chance that 'Object to path' on a text object doesn't work the same way in your version of Inkscape. From where you're at currently, try ungrouping the numbers (Object > Ungroup), then Path > Combine to turn them into a single path.
Thank you I had to find an image of the number 21 and trace bitmap in order for it to work, it did not work if I just typed 21 and clicked convert to path not sure why but thanks again.

1. the converted text object is now a group what is telling the "Status bar" at the bottom of the Inkscape window. Do an "ungroup"
2. I don´t think text can flow into "combined" (multiple) shapes at once
3. try it with the ungrouped letters and see how it goes.
Not sure you like the result though:
PS: It seems to work on combined path when text has no line break - so text works best when typed in one line:

@Mike3983 Did you try what I suggested. Here are the steps in more detail:
The result should be a single path, similar to what you would get from tracing a bitmap, but more accurate.
