    I am inquiring in this Forum as a new user. I have had a disappointing result using a saved custom Pattern. Before submitting a Bug report, I am asking for the status of the bug fix for the distorted recall of custom Patterns. The online manual provides a work-around, but I prefer a Bug fix. Is one in-progress?

    Would Ford provide a work-around for their SUV's radio not working to spec? Buy a portable radio to tape to the plastic dashboard?

    For a misbehaving App--study to become a software developer?

    Welcome to the forum!

    As you pointed out in a different topic, the manual is a bit out of date.  I'm not immediately familiar with the bug you're describing.  Have you found the specific report?  Or can you give a link to the manual page where you read that?

    Way in the back of my mind, I recall a bug where a custom pattern does not show up in the menu, until you restart Inkscape.  If that's the bug you mean, that has been fixed.

    For a different bug, I would need a clue.

    I have not found a report. The advice is not to report a bug unless you are sure that it is unreported. I was just following the advice as a new user.

    I am going to use the Bounding Box information, previously answered, when I create another custom pattern as that may solve the problem.

    I'll report back here with whatever I find. Thanks.
