For this one, that looks like an error message from using a different extension than then ones in the title of this message. Note that I still have no idea what the person who started this topic was asking.
The extension you are using, as far as I know, is no longer being supported by its author. From what I've heard, it only works if you use pixels for units. Maybe using pixels will get rid of the error message?

I'm not clear what your question or problem is. You should be able to choose any tab you need.
Would you clarify the problem?
Select one of the other tabs in the dialog, instead of the one labelled preferences. Then click on Apply.
