If it's possible, it would be helpful if the widgets can be scaled a bit smaller than they do right now. As an influence of using illustrator before, I like my right side widgets to be colors then layers underneath it. But because the widgets can't be scaled down more, and the things inside the widgets having no scaling at all, the layers widgets can only show 5 layers which isn't enough for me. I like to at least see 15 layers immediately without having to scroll.
Please make textboxes, especially the one for border (that's the only thing I know that have a textbox because I use it often right now), not get focus especially if the user didn't really clicked on it. The reason why I don't want textboxes to get focuses unnecessarily is because if I press any key to change the tool I'm using, because a textbox is focused (on the border textbox case, after I decrease or increase the border size using there respective buttons), the key gets typed in the textbox. Even deliberately clicking on a tool doesn't remove the focus of the textbox. I had to always do a bunch more stuff just to be able to switch tools which is very frustrating.
I forgot how I get that, I think if I accidentally moved a point too much, the whole object disappears. Sometimes, only part of the object disappears. The object appears correct again after I hide then unhide the layer.
I'm running Windows 10 64-bit. I'm currently using the latest version 1.0.1 and installed it using the exe installer.
If you look into my first screenshot, you can see my preferred layout. But because that layout doesn't allow showing more than 5 layers, I pop out the Fill and Stroke widget and place it on the side. But the side effect of doing that is I have less work area as you can see on my second screenshot.
Do I create a new request/issue or do I look for the existing ones and comment there? Because in gitlab or github, if you make another issue that is the same as an existing one, you'll just get flagged as duplicate and most of the time the devs would just direct you to the existing one.
Btw, it seems like when uploading images here, the last upload becomes the one on the left. On my previous comment, the screenshot for my preferred layout is the one on the right.
It is recommended to search for existing bugs/requests before submitting a new report. I would search through "all" (instead of only "open" or "closed").

Please describe your OS & version, the version of Inkscape and the installer you used.
A screenshot will also be helpful.

WRT the dialogs, it has been a longstanding request to have them expandable vertically and get a scrollbar on the right.
WRT focus, IIRC, that is being looked into.
You can add your voice to requests via the bug lists; https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/issues

Thanks for the info.

The image upload order is indeed confusing.
