Beyond the Basics Just DREAMING of Animating SVG's in Inkscape!

I have been blown away by the development progression of Inkscape these past years, so THANK YOU to all the devs! I anxiously await the release of Inkscape 1.5 (Stable). If I could wave my magic wand or was an independently wealthy person, I would certainly be contributing to the project's funding either directly and/or via Martin (thanks for all you do and the frequent updates).

With that being said, here's my magic wand wishlist (I know it's not a simple as a DREAM):

    • Timeline/Keyframe Animation
    • Export animation to LOTTIE, GIF, or a VIDEO format
    • Opensource motion libraries to look at (GSAP, Motion.dev, other...)

Ok, back to dreaming...or is that sleeping??

Tyler, I hadn't heard of Inka until now but their site says, "Warning: This project is NOT under active development and it contains multiple bugs" - so I would approach it with extreme caution as nothing has been released since Nov 19, 2023 nor do they have any of the "sexy" SVG animations that can be done with CSS/JavaScript or with more modern libraries.

As far as a UI with timeline, keyframes, and ROBOST features I was thinking something more like SVGator:

    https://www.svgator.com

    Features:
    Mask animations
    Morphing
    Motion paths
    Stroke animations
    Color animations

Or via a programmable JavaScript animation library API like https://gsap.com

    GSAP Free Plugins:
    Draggable
    Easel
    Flip
    MotionPath
    Observer
    Pixi
    ScrollTo
    ScrollTrigger

    GSAP Membership Club plugins:
    DrawSVG
    Physics2D
    PhysicsProps
    ScrambleText
    GSDevTools
    Inertia
    MorphSVG
    MotionPathHelper
    ScrollSmoother
    SplitText

    Have you seen those?
