I've been interested in making transit maps for a while now, but i don't know how to get two routes(paths) that intersect, but dont have an interchange station to look easy on the eyes by making the route on top have a little bit of padding. You can see this on a lot of transit maps but every forum about padding is about padding on an object, not a path. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks
I think in essence you need a duplicate of the main line with a white thicker width stroke beneath as a group. Knot effect is nice but just works best at 90° angle crossings.

Can we have an example picture of what you want it to look like?
@Bwahh, sorry, I nuked your replies by accident. 😥

I understand to go to 4:52 in the video.
In the meantime, a related topic on making knots may be of interest. https://inkscape.org/ko/forums/questions/knot-effect/
