I've noticed an issue with Inkscape where the styles applied to objects seem to persist across sessions, affecting every new document I create. For example, if I use a 5mm stroke style on an object and close Inkscape, the next day when I open a new document, every object I create inherits the 5mm stroke style by default. This also applies to opacity, color, and other attributes.
Is there a way to reset Inkscape to open with its default settings? Alternatively, is there an option to disable this behavior so that I don't have to manually adjust everything each time I start Inkscape? Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Default = last used however you can set each tools style in preferences.
Before starting Inkscape, you can delete the preferences.xml file in the user profile and Inkscape will replace it with the default file and settings.
I keep a copy of my.preferences.xml that has my preferred initial settings. I can rename a copy as preferences.xml and then start Inkscape.
