Is there any method by which we can choose pre-made 2 colour gradients, as we do to symbols. A pack of gradients, something like that is possible in Inkscape ?
It seems the gimp palette files exported by Inkscape do not support gradients. But the custom swatches in Inkscape do, so an Inkscape svg file can be saved with a collection of gradient swatches.
That file can be opened for copy/paste styles to other documents, or saved as a template.
Objects having a gradient can be copied into another document, and the gradient should come along. Then, the gradient can be used for other objects as well.
Roy here. I'm writing at series of tutorials, actually more of a book with each chapter being a tutorial. I give an example of how to make a custom swatch in Tutorial 5. It's at:

Thanks. How do I make a swatch ?
Create any type of object with a gradient you like, and click the swatch button in the Fill/Stroke dialog.

Thanks. It works just like you described. The only thing I am not sure is how to copy the gradient out of this file.

Awesome !! Thanks :)
Hello,
Roy here. I'm writing at series of tutorials, actually more of a book with each chapter being a tutorial. I give an example of how to make a custom swatch in Tutorial 5. It's at:

The material on swatches is about halfway down the page. I hope this helps.
Best wishes for the spring season,
Roy
