I have a similar issue on macOS that´s driving me crazy: Stroke To Path will introduce a small horizontally gap throughout the object. Breaking Path beforehand will end in a different issue and will glue the 2 top left nodes together in one place no matter what I set at Preferences: File attached if anyone will try.
@Aero. Cool finding - I thought I´ve tried everything - but obviously not. The reason it works this way escapes me, as a conversion of text always set the markers pointing inwards... So the direction marker should be pointing outwards before Stroke to Path operation. Noted.
Hi guys, I am having some issues with the creations of SVG
I have created some designs to make some stickers but when my supplier opens it in Coreldraw it shows errors
Any idea on how to solve this ?
Try the setting Force repeat commands in Inkscape Preferences.
Make sure Inkscape updates the path data.

@polygon. Same issue on Windows.
Reverse path, break apart, then stroke to path seems to work.

Thanks for your time.

Oh man:
Uff da. Not broken in Inkscape 1.3 (0e150ed6c4, 2023-07-21).
Maybe this bug? https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/4709
Edit: Seems not, or at least the dev trunk version does not resolve the issue. https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/merge_requests/6122
