I downloaded an SVG file representing Berlin's area from a Site that offers such fragments of the big map.
I'd need to edit the text in this file. Using Inkscape, I tried to select a piece of writing that I wanted to suppress. That worked, and the whole piece of Writing was selected. In the object pan appeared a list of numbered objects, one of which corresponded to my writing and I could erase it.
Since there are very many such writings, I ask myself it it were possible that they belong to a kind of layer (I don't know if this concept applies to Inkscape and to SVG files), so that I could suppress all of them in just one move.
Should I go through the whole process of learning how to use Inkscape in order to do that, or does anybody have an idea how could I do?

Thank you,

If you would like to suppress all text, you can select one text then use Edit>Select Same>object type... then you can delete/copy/cut/etc. all.
Thank you.
