I'm trying to create an SVG that contains text and each time I use the union function, it causes some of the text perimeter to go missing (please see attached example). I'm selecting all the text, then path > object to path > ungroup objects > union. I use this pretty regularly and it has always worked in the past- any ideas about how to fix it are appreciated! Thanks-
Thanks for the reply- If you click away from the selection box when it's in the 'view outline' mode, so the text isn't surrounded by it, it will show the interruption- There is a screenshot image of it in my first post, if helpful-

Please share an example Inkscape file.
Ok, here is the example in an Inkscape file with the broken perimeter for the letter L-
The break is visible if you go to view > display mode > outline-
Not seein it in the file.
Maybe share the original file before Text to path.
Also, steps can often be saved by using Path>Union directly on text.

It's alright- I can't figure it out, but I created a new document and it didn't do it this time! Thanks for your feedback-
I know OP solved issue but can confirm it does show up in UM22.04 Inkscape 1.2 (1:1.2.1+202207142221+cd75a1ee6d)
Can see gap in gif (converted to MP4 and paused to take screenshot)
The issue was the path got corrupted and ended up with a zig zag feature (max zoom and added external magnifer to help show)
At max zoom the issue shows as a triangular gap.
