I just downloaded the 1.0.1 version of Inkscape, mostly for bug fixes. You know, to improve performance. And... I think the new interface is too big.
Toolboxes like "Fill and Stroke" and "Layers" I would have, not grouped together, but on top of each other because that was more efficient for me that way. But now, with the larger interface, there is very little space for my Layers box. Going into Edit > Preferences, then Interface > Themes and using "win32" helps, as it is a smaller interface, but it is still too large for me, as I used to be able to see more layers at a time.
If the previous version's interface could be used as a theme that I could download, that would be great. But at best, I want to have the option to shrink the interface, especially its toolboxes, or their text by maybe 30% - 50%.
I have a screenshot to help give an idea of what I'm seeing and talking about, but not of the previous version. If that helps, great.
