Beginners' Questions issues with the setup - how to achieve the "filling-" of inkscape :: in my setup the filling-color does not appear
gday dear friends,
on the approach to dive into inkscape i sometimes (seem to) struggle with the setup - at least i guess that it seems so:
note: sometimes it works out of the box and i can draw dots - with ease. but see the example below
each try to set dots - with color - fail - i do not know why this is so!?
why is this so - !? Why does no color appear !?

I would check View > Display Mode > Normal (I suspect you have outline selected)

I'd add that you circles are not complete circles (on tool controls bar, Ende displays 357,832 degrees, not 360) you can either enter 360 instead of 357 or click on plain pink circle right to this field.
Notice that the Outline display mode icon is displayed top right of canvas and on the inkscape window label (the name of the file and the display mode).
