I have an image that I imported/opened into Inkscape. I then set it as a bitmap file. I save it after autotrace as a .svg file. Then, I got into the Alibre CAD program into Sketch Mode to further produce a part. Either 3D Printed or CNC machined in wood was the idea...
Um, is there a particular method to altering files so they become better in tune to being used in CAD programs for further processing? Like, should I export it or save it as a particular .svg style of formatting? I am not a true artist in digital art. I am more of a flashbang-done-type and I am looking for an easy out.
The easy out would be how to save the file (.svg) and how to alter the Beanie, i.e. which was a Moscot for USL in the 80s.

P.S. I am using Alibre as the CAD program. They allow importing .svg files into Sketch Mode to further alter the file to a finished product after exporting it as an .stl or .stp file. Oh. Here is Beanie:
In this case, I'd take the trace you have in Inkscape and run Path>Simplify to reduce the node count (it also smooths the lines a bit). I'd tweak a few nodes to get the lines to look natural before saving and opening in the CAD program.
Aside, I used to use Alibre (full versions), but now use Fusion which plays very nicely with SVG.

Sorry. I do not know how to make photos here...
images can be attached using the paperclip button at the bottom-left of the replay window.
Thank you!
That is Beanie...

I got a much better trace using the image from USL directly into Inkscape, and tracing using 2 colors in the multicolor tab.
The trace on the right is Inkscape only.
Thank you. I will be testing with Fusion also.
UPDATE:
I tested the file, .svg, in Fusion and it rendered "correctly." I am not sure how far I can get with this .svg but I am going to try. Thank you again.
