For this version, Let's try anything ! I opted for a monochrom steampunk music theme. Need color ? Sure ! There it is : https://inkscape.org/~m1981/%E2%98%85inkscape-rocks-colors You can see a larger version here : https://www.deviantart.com/m-1981/art/Inkscape-rocks-mono-954258162
Hi folks, Some months ago, I did pretty accidentally this tiny little cow. I completed this first shot by imagining it grew up from an primitive subatomic soup - or milky way. Technical infos : - No external font used (hand traced text) - "Metaball" filter effect, tutorial by Yacine3Dz : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cT41th-pIJc - Special techniques : filter (metaball + blur), clip/mask, clone, blend modes, live path effect (dynamic offset, pattern along path) - Pretty lightweight (250 kB) but takes full advantage of Inkscape's rendering power. Long life to Inkscape ! - EDIT - +Signature
Next step, with color ! (No external font used.) B/W mode ? 'Got it : https://inkscape.org/~m1981/%E2%98%85inkscape-rocks You can see a larger version here : https://www.deviantart.com/m-1981/art/Inkscape-rocks-color-954259967
It's been a while I would like to try a mushroom forest. That was a good occasion to do so. Multipages, new gradient management and enhancement, snapping alignments... Inkscape 1.2 will be awesome ! Fonts : Linux Libertine and Euphoria Script Regular Extended https://inkscape.org/about/branding/
WIP - Inkscape iconset An iconset to revamp Inkscape main tools.
I tried to represent an artwork switching from draft to finished version. Draft side uses graph paper-like patterns and clipped scribbled letters. On the right side, there's a night landscape with a little observatory on the top of a mountain. The two moons are for the "dot zero" of v.1.0.
A mix between smooth gradients, blur effect and glass card render for practice.
In case of emergency, push the freedom button ! Fonts : Euphoria script and Linux libertine.
Some brushes about vegetal cells patterns. Intended to be used in linear repetitions, such as pattern along path feature. EDIT : Editable features were removed in demo image to lower file size. --- Curated by Maren Hachmann on April 15 2023 11:20 PM
A trick to obtain a volume effect on a tread made with a single line and to keep it editable : modify nodes, extend or shorten the line, etc. Methods / functions used : - Clones, with stroke original set to undefined - blur + noise (filter) - Group - Mask
Back to school, when I doodled my checkered notebook sheets. I remember I began with a 4x4 square, then turned in two pentagons... Added horn on each copy... 'Till this little dragon accidentally appeared. After that, some of them regularly popped in margins of many other notebooks. At this time, I didn't know who was M.C. Escher. You can imagine the slap it was for me when I discovered his work few years later.
