Hello my friends. I am having a situation when trying to add text to a drawing. When I start to write, no text appears. Instead, the drawing is automatically zoomed out and text does not work at all. What is happening and how can I solve it? Thanks a lot

You may be on a locked layer. If so, and you are starting the text with a number 1-6, Inkscape will interpret the number as a zoom command.

I'd open the layers Dialog, select the layer to use and unlock.
