Hi. New to this forum and relatively new to the world of CNC lasers and I have been using a self built CNC for carving and laser cutting for a few months.
I have started using Inkscape to try laser engraving photo images onto timber so I downloaded and installed the 305 Engineering Raster 2 Laser extension but have found that it is not compatible with the new version of Inkscape (I have V1.0 I think) and I would like a bit of help please.
Is there a version of the Raster 2 Laser extension that is compatible with the new version of Inkscape? (I found elsewhere on this forum mention of it using Python 2 instead of Python 3)
Is this the best way to laser engrave to produce a grey scale effect? Are there other procedures using Inkscape to achieve this?
Are there any tutorials available you may recommend for beginners like myself?
