Just newly registered, hope the topic is not forbidden here :-) Can you tell how I can import .EPS files in Inkscape? Saw a shady solution on UTube, but would like to know a genuin solution instead. Thanks for your reply DD
Generally, Inkscape can open .eps files. Depending on the system and Inkscape version, Ghostscript may need to be installed.
Please:
Describe your OS (your computer's Operating System: Mac/Windows/Linux/etc. & version).
Describe if Inkscape was newly installed, or upgraded from an earlier version.
Describe the version of Inkscape and the installer you used (the file you downloaded from the web: .msi/.exe/.zip/appimage/other, PPA/Snap/Flatpak, dmg/other ).
Thanks for your response! I am recalling that I went through this on a different computer. I downloaded Ghostscript, ensured that the new path had been added, restarted my computer, and could not get it to work. I have deadlines today and have dedicated almost an hour to trying to open a file so I can use the icons in a figure. What I eventually did was convert the file to .svg using an online converter*. I will revisit this issue when I have more time. Thank you!

I removed the link because malware is being spread by hacked or malicious online converter sites.

FWIW, Forum members are often willing to open/convert files for others (but we are also just randos on the web).
Ok, thanks for the heads up!
