I wanted to create a label for a kitchen herb garden which consisted of the word "Parsly" and 2 Fancy Scolls, one at the top and the other at the bottom. I wanted to combine them before saving them, but it will only let me select the text and not the two scrolls.
No doubt I'm doing it wrong, so I'd be grateful if someone could tell me the correct way of doing this.

What does Status Bar tell about the elements? You just can vector objects Path->Combine if that's what you are after.
