Beginners' Questions Emergency Save in 1.0

    Hello all!
I'm having troubles with version 1.0 on my Windows 10 pro desktop computer .
First, the Autosave doess not work unless I go in to the folder it's saving to and delete everything once it has 100 saves in it. I know it's not a bad idea to do that anyway, but I did not have to do that before the update to 1.0.

Second, the emergency save only saves the first layer of the file and my projects have anywhere from 3 to 15 layers. This does not help me at all when it shuts down (which it does quite often, especially when I'm using images in my layers).

Does anyone have any suggestions or will there be a fix for this soon?
    Thanks so much!!  =)

    Here's how I'd go:

    • I'd set autosave for a period of about 5 minutes.
    • I would not autosave more than a dozen files. (I rarely need more than the most recent file.)

Having a rapid autosave interval may interfere with using and saving large files.

    Thanks for the reply, Tyler.

However, changing the amount of saves and the interval in which they are saved does not help with the main issue I have.
Before the update to 1.0, the auto save worked perfectly. My work was saved every 3 minutes and when save #101 occurred, save #1 would automatically be deleted.

    This does not happen anymore.

I tried your suggestion and changed my interval to every 5 minutes, 12 saves at the most.

Once there are 12 files saved, it does not save any more unless I manually go in and delete the 12 files that are saved.

Also, there is still the issue of the emergency save when Inkscape shuts down. The emergency save file does not include any of the layers except the top layer.

I've updated to 1.0.1 recently, hoping that this was fixed and it was not.

Any chance this will be fixed soon?
