I've used Inkscape now and then for some years now. I've also updated to 1.1.
This worked fine last week, but now the pointer dissappear from the drawing area when I enter text mode ! However I can observe markers in the vertical and horizontal rulers so I know to a certain degree where the pointer is, but it is difficult to decide a start point. When I do select ( a rather random point) I can type in visible text. Moving out of the drawing area makes the pointer reappear. Then I can activate the selection pointer, select the text and move it.
Can anybody help?
- running Win 10 - uninstalled/reinstalled Inkscape - rebooted pc
I'd probably try resetting the preferences in the system section of the Preferences dialog. These usually do not get replaced with a re-install, so some unwanted settings may carry over.
