(Apologies in advance, my forum search didn't turn up anything obvious.)
I installed[*] InkscapeΒ 1.4.230579 yesterday on an M1 iMac running Mac OS 15.5 (Sequoia), and have not been able to get started as the application's windows don't want to open. The toolbar opens along with the initial dialog (Quick Setup/Supported by You/Time to Draw) but I am unable to open existing graphics or start a new one. The program will browse for an existing file, show it in preview, and then nothing opens when I click OK.
Additionally, the program seems to enter an odd state where I can see the toolbar, but when I switch to a different application I can't switch back - and my only option is to force quit.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Best, Steve D.
[*] Originally I installed using a downloaded DMG, and when I ran into the problem decided to trash the program. I then installed using Homebrew, hoping brew might handle any library dependencies - Python versions or whatever. No such luck!
