Maybe, Multiple Boolean Operations extension. It works basically as a regular boolean operation Cut Path (the cutting path is the toppest path), with the difference that it allows to deal with multiple paths and works inside groups.
Installing an extension is quick and easy. Download it and unzip it. Copy the unzipped folder and paste it in inkscape extension folder (it varies along versions and OS : you can find it here : Edit > Preferences > System. Click on the folder icon next to User extensions Adress). Restart.
Hey all,
I had multiple svg files, grouped them to make an object, and now I want to split the object in 2 as it's too large for a single sheet of A4
How can I adjust this so that when I split the combined svg, the segments break at the same horizontal as per the black dotted line?
I've been messing around with nodes for half an hour but I'm fairly incompetent and not making much progress.
Thanks,
Please share the Inkscape svg file for assessment.

David - I didn't even know that extension existed and it has been around since 1849. Yet another extension to install. 🤣
Curious - will Boolean LPE do this?
Edit - yup - but you have to select intersection. Then select "Flatten" in the drop down menu for the LPE.
I first tested Boolean LPE, but it closes the paths (it does a division, on an area, then. It doesn't allow a Boolean Cut Path, to date.
Oh wow - the extension is far better. It has been around for some time. I wonder why it hasn't been included in Inkscape?
