I wonder how I can add a countour to a group of object like this. I tried following this tutorial : tutorial, however it didnt work.

idk, when i try to do path > union, I get tons of disgusting line.
Another method using the Shape Builder Tool, Node Editor and the Frame Extension. Instead of using the Frame Extension, just draw a rectangle around everything
