I'm having issues with some dxf files. Some import ok and after combining, differencing (if necessary) and joining nodes they work fine. But there are some dxf files that come in with sections of the file completely missing and some come where the join nodes function will not work. Even trying to join nodes manually sometimes it still doesn't work. When this happens what is the best way to make a dxf file usable?
Below is a snapshot of a dxf file I imported with missing parts of the file.
Some dxf files are stubborn. I'd try opening the DXF in a CAD program and save as a different flavor of DXF (2007, r14, etc.), then open those variations in Inkscape to see if one is more happy than another..
