I'm trying to get help on an issue I can't seem to find mentioned anywhere else -- either on this forum or on the web in general. I'm a brand new InkScape user and downloaded my first copy of the file --Β Inkscape-1.4.230579_arm64.dmg -- onto my Sequoia 15.5 MacBook Pro. Whenever I open the compressed file, it comes up with the little window to drag it into the applications but the InkScape thumbnail has a little circle with a line through it and is greyed out. I can drag the file into the applications folder, but when I try to open it I'm met with a pop-up that says "You canβt open the application βInkscapeβ because this application is not supported on this Mac."
I know Macs can open .dmg files, so I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this. I'm not using any type of special hardware or any other assistants.Β
If anyone has any help at all it would be greatly appreciated!
