I can't see your message on the forum. I received "i was facing the same issue last night working on my project, thanks for your guidance " by mail. As showm by PixelPest, a major layer was locked and though, locked the underneath layers.

It was removed because shahidds seems to be a spammer who posts an innocent sounding comment, then returns a bit later and edits the comment to add links to sites that have nothing to do with the problem or Inkscape.
I already removed a link from one of their comments in a different thread (to give them the benefit of the doubt), but they came back again and re-edited the comment to put it back in. So this time, their comment was removed completely.

As I was working on an existing file, it suddenly became impossible de draw any line from the tools box.
If I close and open again this file, drawing is still impossible.
If I open an other or a new file, drawing is possible.

Shahidds`s message was stored in the Moderation Queue. But it's no longer there - I don't know why this happened.
