Beginners' Questions Stroke lines inside font (Google font)

I'm using a Google font (Exo 2 ExtraBold Italic) upper case.

When I apply a stroke outline, certain letters show the stroke lines inside the character. Please look here at the letters K, E,Β and B.

I understand that Inkscape has trouble with some fonts. But this particular font is already in my company logo, and I really need the stroke outline.Β

Can. anybody tell me why this is happening, and how I might be able to fix it?

I'm also attaching an svg file showing the issue.

Thank you all so very much.

Personally, I'd call that a junk font. Not in style, but in construction.

It is still usable by applying menu:Path>Union. It will no longer be text, but you can use the shapes in a normal fashion.

I've seen many fonts out there with spacing problems or poorly designed...but nothing as serious as in this case.

    Thanks for your help guys.Β

menu:path>union solved the problem. It cleaned up nicely.Β
