I have several objects on my board, i select them and and choose Object > Transform > Scale. This work nearly perfectly, Everything shrinks and now it fits in the area that is printable. But it is only nearly perfect because the text on the path maintains it original size.

Is there anyway to make the text on the path shrink with everything else.

What I want is for everything I drew and the words I added to fit into the working area so when I save and paste it into a Word document all of it will show up.

Right now if I paste it into Word parts of the images I made are missing because it is too big.

    Thanks

Could be the text is locked or on another layer.

Feel free to share an example file.

The word image in the middle is not really a written there, a picture goes there.

The words on the path don't seem to scale properly.

The image in the middle and the circles scale fine but . . .

I also attached an inkscape saved svg file if you need it. And Thank you for looking into this.

I'd try grouping them before applying the transform.

    That worked fantastic.

Now my problem is that MS Word does not seem to like .svg files. It won't display any of the text that is on a path.

Saving it as .pdf allows me to see the whold thing, so there is a work around but I was wondering, does Inkscape have some sort of add on to save files as .jpg or something like that.

I tried Export png, but it does not seem to work the way I want it to. It seems to export the png to the lower right hand corner and I need it so it can be centered in the MS Word document.

Also, thanks, your idea worked out wonderfully.

I would resize the page to the size of the drawing. (Ctrl+Shift+R)

Inkscape can save a copy as WMF or EMF for improved image quality (including vectors) when importing to MS programs.

    Thank you.

    I went with Export png.

Export works but you have to go over to the panel on the right and tell it to Export again. Then it will export.

Also, once grouped, you can export a png image that exceeds the size of the workspace and it can then be resized in MS Word.

So "select all" > Group > Export > Export again = png image
