Beginners' Questions Printing Problems

I have used Inkscape for several years and have always have some difficulty printing to my Canon ImagePROGRAF jpf670, but have found ways to make it work.  Often it refuses to print an 11x17 image, and keeps the setting on Letter size.  Once I tried using a custom setting of just under 11x17, 11x16.9 and that seemed to work, though I still could not get it to print the bottom inch or two. I recently downloaded Inkscape .92.5 (because my older version of Inkscape wasn't installing fonts), and that fixed the font problem, but now I can't print 11x17 the way I have before.  I tried taking it off automatically mating page size, and that seemed to get it off of the Letter size setting, but now it only prints down to 13 inches and leaves the rest blank below that.  Any ideas what I'm doing wrong.  Thanks

    Hi there,

I am finding it impossible to print to A3+ on my epson ET14000 using inkscape... multiple Images seem to be cut in half etc... when I switch to A3 it works fine. When printing A3+ I have to save as a PDF and print from Adobe... but i can not put my ICC profile on Adobe as it is sublimation printing I'm doing... finding this a real annoyance and thinking about trying another programme to use for printing.

I upgraded to v. 1.4.  In the past when I printed I had all the options vaible, paper size, orientation, color, draft or regular etc. Now when I try to print I get the sscren shown in teh attached. Basially no options/. I am printing to the default printer -- teh same on I ahve always printed to.  I cannot get those options. When I go into the Windows 11 settings  -- device/printers  --teh default printer has all the options.  It looks like inkscape is  controlling the printing and not giving me all the options. I have uninstalled Inkscape and reinstalled.  What to do?

Inkscape on Windows and MacOS do not print well. I think it's better on Linux systems. The usual workaround is to [File > Save a Copy...] and export a pdf then print the output from your favourite pdf viewer.
